Event Description

Full Description:
Come along to the CAI Seminar Series, held every Tuesday!

No RSVP is required and all guests are welcome to join us for morning tea at the conclusion of the seminar.

At our next seminar, our Associate Professor Markus Barth, Head of Ultra-high Field MR Research at CAI, presents the annual group summary of the Barth Group - 'Ultra-high field human MRI: worth the hassle? An update on our research and development on our human 7 Tesla scanner'

Associate Professor Markus Barth has been awarded an ARC Future Fellowship in 2014 and leads the ultra-high field human MR research program at the Centre for Advanced Imaging. He graduated from the Vienna University of Technology in Technical Physics in 1995 and was awarded his Doctorate in the Technical Sciences in 1999. He worked as a Senior Researcher at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour (Radboud University Nijmegen, NL) and at the Erwin L. Hahn Institute for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (University Essen-Duisburg, D). Markus relocated to Brisbane and the University of Queensland’s Centre for Advanced Imaging in 2014.
