Event Description

Full Description:
Decisions about where you publish and the modes of communication you choose to disseminate your research are important for your career as a research academic and impact the research performance of the University. Scholarly communication is changing, with the increasing prevalence of a metrics-based approach to research evaluation, funder Open Access mandates, and the emergence of outlets like The Conversation. This event will provide a variety of perspectives from a number of high profile UQ leaders, with a keynote presentation and panel discussion to inspire, inform, and challenge you.

Your panelists:

• Professor Tim Dunne, Pro-Vice-Chancellor
• Professor Mark Blows, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research)
• Dr Eve Klein, Director of Teaching and Learning, Senior Lecturer in Music
Technology and Popular Music, School of Music
• Professor Tamara Davis, VC Research & Teaching Fellowship, Physics, Faculty of
Science
• Professor Annemaree Carroll, Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

The Winner of 2018 Taylor & Francis Group Library Excellence Award in Research will be announced at the end of the event.

There will also be a networking opportunity.
