Event Description

Full Description:
We are the state’s largest employer of teachers delivering public education to nearly 70% of Qld school students. We offer programs, scholarships and grants to support beginning teachers.

With schools located as far north as the Torres Strait and Cape York Peninsula, down to the New South Wales border and out to the Northern Territory and everywhere in between, Queensland state schools can offer you many exciting career opportunities.

At this session, preservice teachers will get first-hand information about living and teaching in Queensland communities.

Find out how you can have an adventure in a culturally different community without leaving the country all the while having access to a range of employment opportunities that support the lifestyle you desire, both at work and after hours. We will share information on working in Queensland state schools.

We will cover: starting salary, financial benefits/incentives, and the support we provide you when you begin your teaching career and the application process.

Seating is limited; register on StudentHub to reserve your place.
