- The progress and rate of learning English can vary significantly between young EAL/D learners. The diverse experiences and backgrounds of these learners influences their English language development and learning outcomes. Teachers seeking to understand those students who are not progressing may refer students for assessment outside the classroom context, usually to Speech Pathologists or Guidance Officers.
