Full Description:
In conjunction with the ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders (CCD) we will be holding a one day workshop entitled the CCD Developing Mind Series – Social Learning Workshop on Friday 29th April at International House. This workshop will explore how social factors shape the acquisition of concepts and language in infancy and early childhood. The broad impact of these processes for human development and culture will also be considered.

The invited speakers are Professor Diane Poulin-Dubois, Concordia University, Montréal, Canada; Associate Professor Mark Nielsen, The University of Queensland; Ms Siobhan Kennedy-Constantini, The University of Queensland; Dr Ada Kritikos, The University of Queensland; and Professor Katherine Demuth, Macquarie University.
