Full Description:: We warmly welcome you to the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Symposium 2015.

This meeting brings together the MND community (patients/family/friends), the general public, and basic and clinical researchers across The University of Queensland, Macquarie University, and Johns Hopkins University. We are also very delighted to host Ms Nancy Frates as our guest speaker at this year’s event.

Our primary goal is to provide a relaxed atmosphere where people from all backgrounds can discuss issues central to our understanding of MND - factors that contribute to the development of MND, factors that progress MND and emerging strategies to cure MND.

We will convey the message of hope for those living with MND, their families and their friends. We will celebrate the success of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and the impact of this initiative on MND research in Australia. We will provide a platform to share and discuss research discoveries central to our understanding of MND and the impact that it has on the wider community.
