- Cyprus is an island not only rich in ancient history, but also in modern culture, and archaeologists working on Cyprus are well placed to see connections between the past and present. From the rigours of excavating at the height of the Mediterranean summer, to the pleasures of becoming a valued part of close-knit, local communities, this panel will explore all the intricacies of 'Doing Archaeology on Modern Cyprus'.
