Full Description:: The CSSRS invites you to An Evening with Professor Kevin Hart and his Poetry on Thursday 9 July 2015, 7-9pm. Drinks and nibbles will be served prior to the poetry reading. Admission is free but registration is essential.

Kevin Hart has been described as ‘Australia’s Greatest Living Poet’. A former Brisbane boy, Hart is now an internationally recognised poet, literary critic, philosopher and theologian. Translations of Hart’s work have appeared in Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, and Vietnamese, among other languages, and bear witness to the growing interest in his poetry. Hart achieves a careful balance between mystery and the real, a balance that is spiritual yet visceral, learned yet passionate. He is a poet capable of articulating genuine feeling and considerable philosophical depth.
