Event Description

Full Description:
Sean Innis will give a short presentation exploring the relationship between intergenerational equity and lifetime wellbeing in Australia. Sean’s presentation will examine a range of evidence around Australia’s current intergenerational bargain and explore some key long-term questions confronting Australia. These questions include:
• Is our assumption that each working generation will have the opportunity to live a better life than those now retiring safe?
• Do we really pay for ourselves across our lifetimes?
• What role is asset drawdown playing in supporting the lives of older Australians?
