Event Description

Full Description:
With the increase of interest in theological aesthetics in the 20th century, much attention has been given to visual art and literature, but less so to music and its place in theology. This seminar will briefly present the challenges involved in exploring music’s theological meaning and a possible framework and methodologies for doing so. It will then invite participants to listen to and participate in a “case study” born of theological inspiration to exemplify both the richness and the challenges of music’s significance for theological creativity.
