Event Description

Full Description:
The seminars run from 4pm on Thursdays (selected dates) during Semester 1.

Series Synposis: 'This seminar series explores historical and historiographical narratives connected with the history of science from the early modern period to the present. The different scientific and historical genres developed throughout this period rely on a range of narrative strategies, and we are particularly interested in how and through what means these discursive tools operate, and the types of boundary work the historicisation of science may have engaged in. As the Australian academy increasingly emphasises communication across disciplinary boundaries, this series will investigate the discourses that have formed, problematised, reconsidered and upheld such divides in the first place”

- Dr Karin Sellberg and Dr Leigh Penman (Series Co-ordinators).
