- Full Description:
- The Friends of Antiquity, in conjunction with the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry, present the 21st Annual Ancient History Day. There will be presentations of 45 mins each from Prof Alastair Blanshard (The Pleasures of the Greek Table), Dr Eliabeth Crane (Diet and Nutrition in the Roman World), Dr Serena Love (Archaeology of Ancient Egyptian Beer), Em Prof Bob Milns (Gourmets and Gourmands in Athanaeus), Dr Tom Stevenson (Petronius' Banquet of Trimalchio), Dr Dorothy Watts (An Army Marches on its Stomach).
