Event Description

Full Description:
The formation of a single, city-wide Academic Health Science System (AHSS) involving all of Brisbane's major health players has been a long-held ambition of The University of Queensland (UQ). UQ is proud to be a founding member of Brisbane Diamantina Health Partners. The challenge for us and our partners is to build a common purpose in the pursuit of excellence in clinical services, research and education.

UQ is a long standing member of the Association of Academic Health Centers International (AAHCI) and welcomes its President, Dr Steven Wartman MD PhD, an international authority on Academic Health Science Systems, to Brisbane.

Join us next month to hear Dr Wartman MD PhD, President of the Association of Academic Health Centers International, and other luminary authorities discuss how an AHSS can make a real difference to the health of our community at an event titled:

'Marrying Universities and Hospitals to Harness the Power of Discovery: What the Academic Health Science System Means for You'.
