Event Description

Full Description:
Open Knowledge is a key philosophy underpinning the way Professor Hugh Possingham and his group promote their research. Come along and hear how ensuring their research is discoverable and accessible has helped save hundreds of thousands of square kilometres of woodland and forest and informed the creation of many of the world’s marine protected area systems.

Professor Hugh Possingham is Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Environmental Decisions and ARC Laureate Fellow within the School of Biological Sciences and School of Mathematics and Physics at The University of Queensland.

This event is presented by the UQ Library as part of Open Access Week, 20-26 October 2014.
