Full Description:: A professional development program for secondary school science/mathematics teachers and school lab technicians, covering the disciplines of Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, Physics and Mathematics. Participants will attend sessions for two of these disciplines with a total of 15 CPD hours over the two days. The program meets AITSL professional standards 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.2, 3.4, 6.2, 6.3 and 7.4 for teachers.

The program offers:
1) experimental and analytical activities designed to increase laboratory competencies;
2) a wide range of online resources;
3) OH&S assistance for school laboratory activities;
4) an interdisciplinary focus on data analysis and real-world applications of maths;
5) perspectives on the transition for students from secondary to tertiary studies;
6) networking and discussion opportunities with colleagues and professional tertiary educators;
7) tours of UQ's specialist teaching and laboratory facilities.

Registration and cost: Early bird registration ($300) closes on 14th October. General registration ($350) closes on 11th November.
