William's current research is based on rock flow in underground mining applications, namely sub-level and block caving. He is currently working on his masters based on calibration of the Esys_Particle code for mining applications, to be followed with some preliminary studies into the effects of fines migration in block caving. William has completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Software) at UQ, developing an Internet based, machinery control platform for his honors project.
