ESP students are expected to attend classes and examinations during the normal UQ semester and examination periods. These dates may fall outside of students’ normal school term and holiday breaks so please be aware of these and plan accordingly.

Students withdrawing from their ESP course after this date will have a result of ‘K’ (withdrawn with academic penalty) listed on their studies report and their official academic transcript.

ESP Celebration Ceremony

This is our opportunity to congratulate the successful ESP students for their hard work during the semester. Like a graduation ceremony, students will receive a certificate and a copy of the academic transcript.

Monday, 18 November 2013

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their ESP application. Students applying to study a language may be required to take a language placement test and their enrolment will be dependent on completion of this test. Students wishing to study MUSC1100: Large Ensembles A will be required to attend an audition during the 2014 Orientation Week (week beginning Monday, 24 February 2014).

ESP Orientation Session

All new ESP Students are strongly encouraged to attend this event. This is your best opportunity to really prepare for your semester of study at UQ. Parents and School Contacts are also invited to attend as there are specific presentations for them too.

The Orientation Session will include:

  • Official Welcome and ESP Orientation Presentation
  • Tips for ESP - Presentation from past ESP students
  • Information about other UQ events and services
  • Campus Tour
  • Information for Parents and School Contacts
  • Issuing of Student Cards*

* All UQ students must obtain a UQ Student ID card. ESP students will have the opportunity to have their student card produced at the ESP Orientation Session. However, students can have their ID cards processed at any time during the semester.
