Terms of Reference:
The role of the Ipswich Campus Equity and Diversity Committee is to address equity and diversity issues at the campus for both staff and students. It encourages and oversees the development and implementation of specific equity and diversity programs and strategies.
Committee Membership:
- Pro-Vice-Chancellor, or nominee
- Campus Manager, or nominee
- UQ Union Ipswich Campus Officer, or nominee
- Equity and Diversity Consultant (Gatton and Ipswich)
- 1 senior academic member from each of the Faculties delivering programs on the Ipswich campus
- 1 member from the ATSIS Unit, or nominee
- 1 member from Student Services, Health Service, or Student Centre
- 1 member from the UQI Library
Terms of Office:
Membership will be for one (1) year but members may be renominated.
The Chair and Executive Secretary will be elected for one (1) year by the members at the first meeting for that year.
Meetings:
The Committee will meet four (4) times a year.
To help ensure representation at all meetings, it is suggested that a second person be available to stand in to represent a particular faculty or service area if the nominated person is unable to attend a meeting.
