Schools and Faculties are encouraged to consider how they may assist the University improve its performance in the areas of staff and student equity by incorporating realistic and achievable goals and strategies within their Annual plans.

Equity and Diversity Resources
Key priorities for the University are detailed within the UQ Equity and Diversity Plan.
Student equity data by Faculty and School is now available from the Management Information Section. Log on to MIS Reportal, go to Indicators Portal and select Student, EFTSU.
The data will provide information on the proportion of students in your area who have indicated they:
- are female;
- have a disability;
- are from a non-English Speaking Background;
- are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person;
- are from a low socio-economic background;
- are from a rural or isolated area;
- are an international student;
- are an external student;
- were born in a country other than Australia;
- speak a language other than English at home; and
- are part-time.
The staff gender profile from 2001-2005 is also available from MIS Reportal. Log on and select Staff from the left-hand navigation panel, then select FTE and Numbers.
