'In three widely promoted international rankings systems ... UQ now ranks in the top 1% of world universities'.
UQ aims to 'foster outstanding performance from young researchers at higher degree, postdoctoral and early career levels'. Strategies to achieve this include:
- develop opportunities for professional development for early career researchers;
- support recruitment of high quality early career researchers through competitive postgraduate and postdoctoral funding schemes; and
- support ongoing retention of high quality early career researchers (UQ Strategy 2011-2015).
