UQ aims to 'foster outstanding performance by young researchers at higher degree, postdoctoral and early career levels'. Strategies to achieve this include:

  • develop opportunities for professional development for early career researchers;
  • support recruitment of high quality early career researchers through a competitive postgraduate and postdoctoral funding scheme; and
  • support ongoing retention of high quality early career researchers (UQ Strategy 2012-2016).
