UQ’s Engineering Learning Centre short-listed in Interior Design Awards
The University of Queensland’s First Year Engineering Learning Centre has been short-listed in the 2008 Australian Interior Design Awards.

Designed by Wilson Architects, the Centre is one of ten projects selected in the Public / Institution interior design category. Click here to see all entries.

The purpose of the Interior Design Awards is to celebrate and recognise interior design excellence via a credible, industry-based program, which is backed by the Design Institute of Australia, the professional body representing Australian designers.

The Leaning Centre's inclusion in the Awards is a result of UQ’s innovation and commitment to developing unique and inspiring spaces to support the learning needs of first year students.

Launched in 2007, the Centre has a relaxed, contemporary design and is fitted with the latest in information technology and media facilities to facilitate student interaction and teamwork.

The awards will be presented on 11 April 2008 in Sydney.
