The School of Engineering at The University of Queensland is renowned for its world-class engineering education, pioneering research and high quality graduates.
The School conducts undergraduate teaching for ten of the sixteen engineering study areas offered at The University of Queensland, and provides postgraduate programs to address demand for expert education in areas such as power generation, water management and engineering science.
Boasting an annual research income in excess of $22 million, the School is one of the leading providers of engineering research in Australia and houses more than 400 world-class academic staff, research fellows and research students.
Strong links between the School and industry have brought about a number of strategic industry partnerships. These collaborations provide funding to progress research priorities and ensure that coursework programs continually develop to provide students with skills that meet industry needs.
Graduates of the School join a growing body of more than ten thousand former students which comprise the UQ Engineering Alumni Network. This Network provides professional, educational and social opportunities for graduates employed in all levels of industry, government and academia, all over the globe.
The School is strongly committed to sustainability. In addition to incorporating its principles into all teaching and research activities, the School is a proud major sponsor of
