Your first year studying the Bachelor of Engineering is an exciting, challenging time, and your first step towards a rewarding and satisfying career in engineering.

If you have a clear career path in mind, you can specialise in an area of study e.g. Chemical, Mechanical Engineering from the beginning. However, if you are not sure, you can choose a general study plan in your first year to help you decide.

The workload in first year is reasonably challenging. You can expect up to 25 contact hours per week and to be on campus every week day. However, there are many avenues for support, including:
