The School of Education at The University of Queensland is one of the most productive and high profile schools of education in Australia with a large number of students from Australia and overseas. The teaching of education at the University began in 1945. The Faculty of Education was established in December 1949 and grew to be one of the largest in the University. In 1997 the School of Education became part of the new Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
The School provides a variety of ways of studying as well as a range of programs in education across both the Ipswich and St Lucia Campuses, and offers new and interesting opportunities for students and staff in teaching, learning, research and professional development
