Profile

Richard Brown’s areas of specialization include the economics of international migration and migrants’ remittances, applied cost-benefit analysis, and non-market valuation methodologies. He has been awarded a number of research grants including Australian Research Council, World Bank, ILO, WHO, USAID, WWF. He has extensive domestic and international advisory experience and is currently engaged by the Asian Development Bank as an international expert in migration, remittances and poverty for a large study covering four Central Asian and South Caucasus countries. He is a member of the School’s Executive Committee and is a representative on the University’s Academic Board.
