The University has responded to the need for secure rooms for the storage of bicycles by providing them in the following buildings:
- Queensland Bioscience Precinct (Building 80)
- GP South 3 (Building 78)
- Connell Building (Building 26)
- Sir James Foots (Building 47A)
- Student Union Complex (Building 21)
- Queensland Brain Institute (Building 79)
- AIBN (Building 75)
Sites for further secure storage rooms have been identified and these will be developed as funds become available:

· Hartley Teakle Building off Services Road

· Hartley Teakle near Mill Road

· Adjacent to the Alumni Court

Access to these storage rooms will be given by means of the Student or Staff ID card, which will be activated on application to UQ Security which is located in Services Road, St Lucia campus.
