All our policies and procedures are covered in the UQ Policy and Procedures Library (PPL). As a guide we have listed below the some of the important policies for you as a new staff member.

Ø      All staff at UQ have specific responsibilities for ensuring Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S). These responsibilities are principally based on the Queensland Workplace and Health and Safety Act (1995) and related regulations and legislation. The UQ OH&S policy further reinforces these responsibilities. Please refer to the OH&S New Worker Induction Checklist.

If you haven’t done so already as part of your online induction, complete the online OHS training here.

Ø      The University’s Equity Office has a range of online resources of interest to UQ staff, including brochures on important issues as Discrimination and Harassment, Sexual Harassment and the use of Inclusive Language. Another useful resource on their website is the Balancing Work, Family and Study brochure.
