Counselling for staff
The University of Queensland Staff Assistance Services program (SAS) provides confidential and voluntary counselling and assistance to all University of Queensland staff. Its purpose is to help staff resolve problems which affect their work performance or ability to function socially within their work environment.
A variety of professional counselling services, both UQ and external to UQ, can provide assistance for a range of problems for which staff may seek help, including:
- personal and work relationships
- personal issues
- workplace change and pressures
- discrimination, harassment, bullying and sexual harassment
For more details, including the contact details of providers, please refer to the Staff Assistance Services policy (5.70.6) in the Handbook of Policies and Procedures.
