UQ Corporate Banking Services Provider

It has been announced that the University will be changing providers for banking related services from the ANZ Bank to the Commonwealth Bank (CBA). This includes the fortnightly payroll.

How will this change impact my pay?

There will be no change to the current fortnightly pay cycle arrangement and staff should not notice any difference in the timing of when your fortnightly pay is credited to your bank account.  The University aims to have funds relating to your fortnightly pay available in your nominated bank account/s on the Thursday of each pay week.

Some staff may have noticed their fortnightly pay or payroll deduction credited to their accounts earlier (i.e. on a Wednesday of the pay week). The change in banking providers may result in a change in the timing of pay being available in your account. Please note the University has no control over which day (Wednesday or Thursday) any banks credit pay into your account.

All UQ employees are encouraged to check their personal banking arrangements to ensure that any payments being direct debited from your account are scheduled either on or after the Thursday of the pay week. The University is not responsible for costs incurred resulting from the changes as described above.

UQ employees that are ANZ customers should check with their bank to discuss any changes to benefits offered previously under the ANZ/UQ arrangement.
