The purpose of the report is to provide an overview of the University’s workforce. It profiles a range of key human resource indicators including:

Numbers of staff (FTE and/or headcount) with breakdown by:
Ø  Function (academic / professional)
Ø  Employment type (continuing / fixed-term / casual)
Ø  Gender

  • Age Profile
  • Qualifications
  • Diversity
  • Staff terminations
  • Leave
  • Academic promotions
  • Occupational Health and Safety data

The report uses point-in-time data based on the official DEEWR staff data snapshot of 31 March of each year, and full calendar year data from the previous year for some indicators (eg terminations, promotions). There is also trend data comparing statistics over the last three to five years. External benchmarking data (from AHEIA) is also provided to allow comparison to the Go8 and All Universities for some measures.

Reports are available on the Reportal for many of the tables included in the Workforce Profile document. These can be filtered to provide profiles for individual faculties, institutes, divisions and in some cases, school or unit.
