The UQ Temporary Staff Service (UQ Temps) are able to assist all Organisational Units in maintaining full productivity in times of need such as peak times, leave replacement or special projects. The duration of contracts may vary from 1 day to 11 months and can be offered as a full-time, part-time or casual appointment depending on the need in the Organisational Unit. Temporary staff are employed under the University of Queensland Enterprise Agreement (2010 - 2013). The University expects all staff to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the University's Code of Conduct, set out in the Handbook of University Policies and Procedures, see http://www.uq.edu.au/hupp/ .
Currently UQ Temps supports the placement of temporary staff in areas such as finance, general administration, reception, project work and IT.
