Alumni Book Fair starts this Friday

This weekend, Brisbane’s oldest book fair is returning to the UQ Centre at St Lucia. From Friday 3 May to Monday 6 May, browse thousands of books priced as low as $1 at the UQ Alumni Book Fair. There are also special Book Fair events throughout the weekend.

Last chance to submit your Research and Innovation Week event

Expressions of interest for Research and Innovation (R&I) Week 2024 events are set to close this Friday 3 May. Don’t miss your chance to get involved and participate in this UQ-wide event, celebrating our remarkable research, researchers, and partnerships within our community.

Register for the All Staff Forum

Don’t forget to register for the first All Staff Forum of the year on Monday 27 May from 1:15pm to 3pm. Our St Lucia venue is already at capacity, so staff at this campus are encouraged to register to watch the Zoom livestream of the event. There are still places available at our other sites.

Great Rainbow Bake Off

To celebrate the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) on Friday 17 May, the UQ Ally Network is hosting their annual Great Rainbow Bake Off in the Great Court at St Lucia. You’re invited to submit an individual or group entry to this friendly baking competition so that every school, institute and work area is represented. Funds raised will go towards the Alumni Pride Scholarship, which supports LGBTQIA+ students to pursue their academic dream at UQ.
