Dr Ingrid Richardson

Research Area/Interests:

My research interests include philosophy of technology, phenomenology, corporeal feminism, new and interactive media theory, mobile technologies and embodied interaction. Currently my active area of research is mobile media (primarily, considering the mobile phone as a new media interface), and I am currently leading or collaborating on several research projects that focus on the socio-cultural and phenomenological effects and possibilities of mobile media.

Curriculum Leadership Project

Funded by a Carrick Institute Grant (2007-2008 - $18 000), this project critically over-views current curriculum and best practice in the fields of new/digital media at Murdoch University (School of Media Communication and Culture).
