What does the “spatial turn” mean for media historians? Can media history inform current communications and cultural policy, particularly in rural and regional contexts? The ARC Cultural Research Network invites postgraduates and early career researchers to join Professor Robert C. Allen of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and Associate Professor Jeffrey Klenotic of the University of New Hampshire, to discuss the methodological challenges and opportunities arising from new interdisciplinary projects in the histories of media industries and their audiences.
