Communicating sexual health via mobile & online technologies

9 August, University of Sydney

STI rates for people aged 16-24 are currently reaching epidemic proportions in Australia and elsewhere. Chlamydia, for example has been placed the WHO list of morbidities. The ‘Communicating Sexual Health’ project seeks to bring together researchers to formulate a way of communicating to this audience, and attracting them to consider safer sex practices. The project will consider how to most effectively use new technologies (mobile phones etc) to do so.

The objective of the planning workshop is to develop a feasible research project for submission to grant agencies in Australia, Hong Kong, China and the United Kingdom.
