Information
The
objectives of course standardisation are to:
- achieve
a more transparent program structure for students
- promote
equitable HECS/fee arrangements for students
- enhance
portability of credit and awards - ie promote consistency between
UQ and other Australian universities
- aid
comprehension and marketability of UQ’s program structure
- rationalise
program and course (subject) offerings
- rationalise
teaching load and use staff, resources and time more effectively
- achieve
administrative coherence and efficiency
The
most important components of course standardisation are:
Course
standardisation has provided an opportunity for the University to
review and enhance its degree programs. Professional accreditation
and the general quality and standing of programs has been unaffected.
