Leif Nohr - Norway
Leif Nohr is a legal adviser at the Norwegian Centre for Telemedicine (NST), University Hospital of North Norway, Tromso, Norway. He has his law degree (master) from the University of Tromso and has been working at NST since 1998. Nohr has been working on a number of national and international projects on legal aspects of telemedicine and e-health. He is mainly working with health legislation and its relation to telemedicine and ehealth and especially privacy, patients' rights and cross border health care issues.
Dr Rohana Marasinghe – Sri Lanka
Dr Rohana Basil Marasinghe is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Medical Education and Health Sciences, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Sri Jayewardenepura University (USJP), Sri Lanka. He has obtained MBBS (Colombo) and MPhil in Medical Education form USJP and currently undertaking his PhD at the Centre for Online Health. Rohana’s PhD research investigates the potential of telemedicine applications for the prevention of self-harm and suicide. He is also interested in Medical Education as well as ICT/ innovative technology use in education and training.
Ms Siti (Su) Noorsuriani Maon - Malaysia
Siti Noorsuriani Maon is a lecturer at the Faculty of Office Management and Technology, University Technology MARA (UiTMM), Malaysia. She earned her first degree in human sciences (Psychology) at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and her master's program in information management at UiTMM. Siti began her PhD work at the Centre for Online Health in March 2008. Her PhD research examines the potential of web technologies to promote healthy eating and active living among children. She is also interested in innovative technology (ICT) use in education and training.
Professor James Marcin - USA
Dr James Marcin is a Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care at the UC Davis Children's Hospital in Sacramento, California. He is also the Director of the Pediatric Telemedicine Program at the UC Davis Medical Centre. Dr Marcin conducts research in pediatric telemedicine and quality of care, particularly as it relates to acutely ill and injured children in the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit.
