Course: Mining Environmental Risk Management (MMME7022)

Summary: Principles of risk management; environmental risk management methods; risk management concepts (losses, hazards, pro-activity and risks, controls/barriers, risk analysis and assessment techniques); risk management systems auditing and incident investigation tools, case studies (life cycle of mine management system from pre-feasibility to decommissioning). The course is aimed at professionals wanting to gain specific knowledge in environmental risk management for the mining and minerals industry.

This course has non-assessable online quizzes and interactive content, it also utilises an online discussion board. Assessment comprises three assignments to be posted in the mail to the coordinators.
