Today's best practice includes putting in place a totally integrated environmental management plan before the first sod is even turned. Mining professionals skilled in doing it are in demand. That's where The University of Queensland's Centre for Mined Land Rehabilitation (CMLR) comes in.

    In partnership with the industry
Each program component has been designed and developed in consultation with industry, which puts students literally at the cutting edge of learning. The CMLR has forged the strongest possible links with industry to create a solid multidisciplinary approach to integrated environmental management for mining. Along with the experience that comes from a 20-year involvement in the industry, the CMLR is a member of the Sustainable Minerals Institute (previously known as Sir James Foots Institute of Mineral Resources), the peak minerals industry education body.

Learn from the Centre wherever you are
To cater for an industry that is spread far and wide, CMLR provides flexible learning via correspondence and the web. Utilising the latest Internet delivery techniques through eLearn, students can learn and interact with each other within a cyber classroom.
