A new portal for CPD
The University of Queensland has launched its new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) website, spearheaded by the Centre for Innovation in Professional Learning (CIPL).
CIPL Director, Professor Bob Hendy, said the new website brings together information on the extensive range of CPD short courses delivered by UQ Schools, Faculties, Centres and Institutes.
“This website is a resource for organisations looking to access the rich education offerings which UQ provides in continuing professional development,” Professor Hendy said.
“It complements the individual websites developed by the University’s CPD providers, linking to information on the courses they offer to professionals across many careers, including nurses, doctors, dentists, pharmacists, lawyers, business managers, engineers, teachers, IT professionals and social scientists.”
The website’s development flows from a stocktake CIPL completed last year which found that more than 380 CPD courses were being delivered by 20 organisational units across UQ.
“Many of these short courses articulate into formal qualifications, and they are delivered face-to-face, online, and in blended learning models,” Professor Hendy said.
The new CPD website is the latest significant milestone progressed by the CIPL since its inception in 2009.
