Design patterns are tools for capturing and communicating good pedagogical designs.  Join Nina Bianco to explore in detail Benchmarking, a pedagogical design pattern from the world of professional learning.

Professional learning is strongly influenced by context and this includes the professional ‘tribe’ to which a person belongs. Peer interactivity, in the form of benchmarking, is an important pedagogical strategy that acknowledges the influence of professional peers on reflection and learning.  This seminar will explain the elements of a tried and tested learning design called Benchmarking and how it can be implemented.

Nina Bianco is a Senior CPD Designer at the Centre for Innovation in Professional Learning (CIPL).  Nina’s expertise is in curriculum and education design for “Continuing Professional Development (CPD)”. She has extensive experience in designing and developing CPD systems and programs that incorporate best practice education principles and methodologies.  Her skill in working with clients and in training and leading teams, has resulted in the delivery of many successful CPD programs.
