The Team
The members of the Gatton Campus Chaplaincy Service are trained volunteers with a wide variety of life experiences and religious backgrounds. We are here to support the students and staff (and their families) in life at university as they learn, work, and live. We consider it a great privilege to share something of the joys and struggles you face during your time at UQ Gatton. It is our aim to care for and serve the members of the campus community no matter what their religious background or experience. We serve as a team and as such each member of the team is available to any member of the extended campus community free of charge and expectation.
The Office
The chaplaincy office is located upstairs (Room 28) in Morrison Hall. Feel free to drop in for a chat. Team members are currently available on campus Monday to Thursday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To make an appointment to see a team member outside these times contact details are provided on their personal page.
The Chapel
The Chapel is available for private and group worship, study, and discussions. It is equipped with Bibles, an organ, and some song books. An Overhead Projector and screen are also available upon request. Bookings can be made through the Coordinating Chaplain.
Sunday Bus Service
A bus leaves Morrison Hall, near the swimming pool; at 9:00 AM each Sunday morning to take people to church services in Gatton. The exception is the last Sunday of the month when the bus departs at 5:30 PM. The bus returns between 12:00 -12:30 PM leaving from the Christian Life Centre.
