Featured giving opportunities for the Chancellor's Fund Appeal 2012

The UQ Young Achievers Program

This program aims to build the tertiary aspirations of promising secondary school students across Queensland. Students who may not have been able to consider University study due to financial or other difficulties receive financial help as well as mentoring, leadership training and help with career planning.

Your donation towards the UQ Young Achievers Program is an investment in the future of Queensland’s youth.

Indigenous Collegiate Scholarships at UQ

An Indigenous Collegiate Scholarship provides an opportunity for students from indigenous backgrounds to attend a college at UQ, helping them to settle into the student experience, make friends and slot into extra-curricular activities with ease. These scholarships are offered through donations from UQ alumni and friends and are valued at $18,000 annually.

Your gift will help a new indigenous student settle into university life more quickly than would otherwise be possible, helping them to make the best of their time at UQ.

The UQ Scholarship Endowment Fund

The University of Queensland is committed to enabling the best and brightest students to pursue a course in tertiary study, regardless of background or financial pressures. Through the Scholarship Endowment Fund, the University can alleviate the burdens of fee payments, buying books and coping with living expenses, making it possible for students to focus on studies and excel in their chosen course.

By making a gift to the Scholarship Endowment Fund, you remove the financial or geographical barriers that prevent talented, but disadvantaged students from fulfilling their potential.
