Approaching Great Court from Chancellor Place and Institute for Molecular Biosciences, St Lucia campus

We invited alumni, current and former staff, students, and friends and partners of the University in the community to participate in the UQ Centenary celebrations, together with their families.

Celebratory Activities

Throughout 2010, we staged a series of celebratory activities that included reunions for alumni and former staff, birthday celebrations for staff and students, an Oration Series and other performances, exhibitions and activities of interest to the general community.

Participation took a number of forms from suggestions through to attendance, or contributing as a volunteer through to running an event.

Were you unable to attend any of the celebrations?  You can view or listen to recordings of some events posted on the website.   A photo gallery has also been developed.  See How we celebrated our Centenary and also photographs linked from the Alumni Celebrations page.

Centenary Updates

Information about how the plans for the Centenary were progressing was provided in a number of ways.  The Centenary Updates e-newsletter was one form of communication used.

Staff Resources

Members of staff from our organisational units organising Centenary events could access the Staff Resources page where information and templates were provided to assist them.  Information was also provided for all staff.

This page was password protected, for staff access only, for the duration of the Centenary year.
