Wyn Coghlan completed her BA in 1962 and was appointed Zoology Librarian while the Department was in the process of moving to St Lucia.

My parents were UQ evening students at Old Government House in the 1920’s.  I too started my Arts degree at George St, attending Psychology lectures in the old huts on the Domain.

I remember the fascinating Zoology research done on crustaceans, fish, flying foxes and the crown of thorns starfish; the trips to Stradbroke and Heron Island and the exciting day when an entire elephant carcase was deposited in the inner courtyard.

My husband and I finished in the same year, attending my Graduation Dinner the evening before our wedding. Subsequently five of our children studied at UQ.

We’re so proud of our UQ heritage.
