A Centenary Cocktail party to celebrate the contribution of University of Queensland nurses and midwives to the greater community falling between International Midwives Day on 5 May and International Nurses Day on 12 May 2010.

Although the School of Nursing and Midwifery is in its infancy among the established schools within the University of Queensland community, we are nevertheless making significant contributions to the development of nurse and midwife education in Queensland, and Australia, with our innovative curricula and clinical model.  This function will give alumni, industry partners, community guests and staff the opportunity to celebrate the University’s Centenary along with the challenges and achievements of the School in the past six years.

An event for alumni; current and former staff including Adjunct and Honorary members; current undergraduate students and Research Higher Degree candidates (Hons, Masters, PhD); partners of the University, particularly those Health Care facilities involved in the clinical placement of our students as well as commercial partners; invited dignitaries and invited media representatives.
