| Linda’s mother and daughter feed the ducks |
UQ graduate, Linda Osborne, now works in research administration in the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology.
Back when jacarandas didn’t flower until November, my father was appointed Reader in Veterinary Science. In 1973 he told me I should study genetics and computers as they were the fields of the future. Instead, I completed a physiotherapy degree.
Returning to start an MBA, I met my husband, searching the library catalogue file draws….a thing of the past with the advent of computers.
I cycle to work past the lake where we were married and my mother took our daughter to feed the ducks. Our daughter has closed the circle of three generations; now she’s studying at UQ.
