Give way to ducks

Lesley Forest, who currently works for UQ's Centre for Biomolecular Engineering, AIBN, once had to give way to a procession of geese and ducks on her way home from work.

"I accepted a lift home from work as it was teeming with rain. We were travelling along Sir William McGregor Drive when a goose approached the pedestrian crossing so we slowed down and stopped. The goose, followed by other geese and assorted ducks walked in single file across the road on the crossing. A young man, soaking wet, had approached from the other direction on a bicycle. He too slowed down and stopped. Time paused at that moment, as he, my friend and I enjoyed a belly laugh as we watched in disbelief as the procession magestically crossed the road."
