UQ's Birthday - 16 April 2010
Friday 16 April 2010 is the day that UQ turns 100 and we’re planning a special birthday celebration for students and staff in the Great Court. Make a note in your calendar to join the birthday revelry on this very special day.
For a century, hundreds of thousands of students and staff have contributed to the University’s success. Now current students and staff have the opportunity to celebrate this historic occasion.
The lunch-time event will include the launch of the Centenary book, a pictorial record of the life of our University.
UQ also plays host to some very special guests on 16 April 2010. Our 100th birthday is also the day of the 50+ Reunion Lunch for graduates who completed their UQ degree 50 years ago or more. If you happen to see some of our early graduates on campus on the 16th, please give them a warm welcome as they will be joining us to celebrate our special day.
