Winner of "Vote for Your Favourite UQ Treasure" announced
Congratulations J. Hudson.
Mr Hudson was the winner of the You Decide: Vote for Your Favourite UQ Treasure competition which ran on the UQ Centenary Celebration Day, 18 April, 2010. Mr Hudson won a limited edition framed print by leading Torres Strait Islander artist Alick Tipoti, valued at over $800.
The winning treasure was the life-size cartonnage Mummy Mask from the Ptolemaic Period c. 300 BC, which is held in the collection of the R. D. Milns Antiquities Museum.
Winner of the eDiscovery Quest announced
Congratulations J. Martina.
Ms Martina was the winner of the eDiscovery Quest which ran on the UQ Centenary Celebration Day, 18 April, 2010. Ms Martina won an iPod Touch and a copy of The People's University: 100 Years of the University of Queensland, a book published by University of Queensland Press for the University's Centenary year.

Volunteers required for April Centenary Celebrations
Dates required: FRIDAY 16 AND / OR SUNDAY 18 APRIL 2010
The Centenary Secretariat is seeking volunteers to assist with our 100th birthday celebrations in April. We are looking for enthusiastic people who have a good knowledge of the University to assist with the information booth, car parking, directional assistance and general communications and staging. If you would like to be involved in these exciting, once in a lifetime events, register your interest to Maryse Scott at centenary@uq.edu.au by 12 February 2010.
Centenary celebrations at Gatton campus
Current staff and students at Gatton campus are invited to the University of Queensland's 100th Birthday celebrations in the Central walkway between 11:30 to 1:30pm on 14 April 2010. Come and enjoy refreshments, live music and entertainment.
Centenary medallion now available
The Co-op Bookshop is selling commemorative Centenary medallions for $29.95 at the St Lucia, Gatton and Ipswich. Medallions can be purchased from the Bookshop via store visit, online or phone order.
Send in your favourite UQ photos
As part of the Centenary celebrations, the Fryer library is digitising its photo collection and is asking people to send in their favourite UQ photos. Photos from the 70s, 80s and 90s are most welcome. Contact 3365 6236 or email fryer@library.uq.edu.au
50+ Reunion Lunch
April 16 will be a time to celebrate some of our early graduates as they come together at the annual 50+ Renunion Lunch. This celebration is for alumni who graduated from UQ 50 or more years ago, and there will no doubt be swapping of fond memories and UQ tales.
